Long Island police arrested a 56-year-old man on drunken driving charges after they say he crashed into a school bus packed with children and fled the scene.
Police say no one was injured in the accident that happened at about 3:30 Thursday in Brookhaven.
Police say Warren Lukas, of Quaker Path, was driving a pickup when he sideswiped the school bus carrying 55 children that had just stopped and was waiting to make a turn.
Police say Lukas fled the scene but was later arrested after a witness followed him and called 911. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.
He's to be arraigned on Friday.
