Construction Worker, 43, Killed at Brooklyn Site: FDNY

A construction worker was killed at a Brooklyn site not far from the Atlantic Terminal Tuesday afternoon, police say.

Emergency responders were called to the site on Bond Street in Boerum Hill just before 1:30 p.m. and found a 40-year-old man unconscious with severe head and body trauma, the FDNY says.

The man, later identified as 43-year-old Paul Kenedy of the Bronx, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

A city medical examiner will determine how he died.

It's unclear how the accident happened, but the Department of Buildings says the site does have a permit for construction of a 13-story hotel.

The city Buildings Department issued a stop-work order at the site after the death so authorities could investigate.
