Construction Worker Falls onto Scaffolding on Upper East Side, Dies: NYPD

A construction worker plunged to his death at an Upper East Side building Tuesday, authorities say.

The 30-year-old worker fell and landed on scaffolding on the second floor of a building on the 300-block of East 76th Street by Second Avenue, police say.

He was found unresponsive and unconscious, and taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The worker has not been identified. Investigation is ongoing.
