A 12-year-old girl was hurt when debris from a construction site at a building on Manhattan's west side fell and struck her as she was walking, authorities say.
The debris fell while the girl was walking with a parent near 53rd Street and 9th Avenue at about 6:15 p.m., the FDNY said.
She was taken to St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital and was listed in stable condition with minor injuries.
The Buildings Department is investigating whether strong winds were a factor.
