Conditions in Jersey Ripe for Brush Fires

Conditions are ripe for brush fires in New Jersey.

A red flag warning remains in effect from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday for the central and southern parts of the Garden State.

The National Weather Service says it hasn't rained in almost two weeks.

Temperatures are expected in the mid to upper 80s, humidity is expected to be low and west winds could pack gusts of 30 mph.

Forecasters says the winds, low humidity and warm temperatures will create a high risk for brush fires.
