Con Edison said a power outage in Brooklyn left thousands of customers without electricity Saturday afternoon for about an hour.

The outage on an overhead loop in Dyker Heights affected about 7,500 customers at around 2:30 p.m., according to a spokesman for Con Ed.

Service was restored after downed wires were repaired, Con Ed said.
