A computer technician for a company contracted to do work for Long Island schools has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.
Ryan Ramdass of Queens Village pleaded guilty Friday to promoting the sexual performance of a child.
Ramdass's employer did work for the Levittown schools. A spokeswoman for the Queens DA said there was no indication any of the images were of children in that district.
A search warrant in May 2013 of Ramdass's home found thousands of videos and images of child pornography on his laptop and external hard drives.
Queens Supreme Court Justice Dorothy Chin-Brandt said she will sentence Ramdass to 2 to 6 years in prison on Jan. 8.
His attorney did not immediately return a telephone message seeking comment.
