Three members of the Williamsport Crosscutters, a Short-Season Class A team affiliated with the Philadelphia Phillies, suffered minor injuries when their bus was involved in an accident on Staten Island.

Police say the accident happened at around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, but had few other details.

A team spokesman in Williamsport, Pa., says two pitchers and a staff member were treated at a hospital and released after the crash that occurred as the team was returning to its hotel from its 7-2 win over the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Williamsport is scheduled to play Wednesday afternoon at Brooklyn.

The Crosscutters plan to complete their current road trip as scheduled, which also includes a stop in Batavia, before returning to Williamsport on Sunday.

The Crosscutters plays in the New York-Penn League.
