A 49-year-old Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly plundering a donation jar and various electronics from his local church, police say.
Authorities said Adrian Pollard turned himself in early Sunday in connection with the January burglary; police say they had a fingerprint connecting him to the crime.
Police said Pollard is accused of pilfering the donation jar, stereo speakers, a desktop computer, flat-screen monitor and amplifier from United Methodist Church on Louis Avenue on the afternoon of Jan. 13. The suspect broke a window to gain access to the building, police said.
Pollard was charged with third-degree burglary and released on $5,000 bail following his arraignment. Authorities say he has several prior arrests for petty crimes.
