Long Island Chiropractor Accused — Again — of Patient Sex Abuse

A Long Island chiropractor has been arrested, apparently for at least the second time in the last four and a half years, for allegedly inappropriately touching a patient during a routine exam.

Douglas Dukofsky, 48, allegedly touched the 42-year-old patient at Valley Stream Chiropractic Wellness Center on Roosevelt Avenue on Friday. He was arrested Monday after an investigation on a charge of sexual abuse.

Attorney information for him wasn't immediately available. This apparently isn't the first time he's faced such a charge.

LIHerald.com reports Dukofsky was accused of forcibly touching a 21-year-old patient at the same center in 2013. Dukofsky denied wrongdoing at the time; the outcome of that case wasn't immediately clear.

According to the wellness center's website, Dukofsky developed Structural Restoration, a technique the site describes as a "groundbreaking method of restoring overall health and functioning."

Dukofsky graduated from Stony Brook University and Life University College of Chiropractic, according to his bio.
