Reward Offered for Information on Couple Who Abducted 8-Year-Old Son in New Jersey

Authorities are offering a $2,500 reward for information about the whereabouts of the couple who abducted their 8-year-old son from his grandmother's home earlier this month.

Little Everett Streko's grandmother is his legal guardian. Authorities say the grandmother last saw the boy at her home in Green Brook Thursday, July 16.

The next morning, she told authorities she noticed her daughter-in-law, 32-year-old Amy Streko, who was also living in the residence, was missing, along with the 8-year-old boy and all of the child's personal belongings. The grandmother called police.

The child's biological father, 34-year-old Michael Streko, was last seen by neighbors moving out of his home in Neptune City July 17, the day the grandmother reported the 8-year-old missing.

Authorities believe the couple and the child are together. Michael and Amy Streko are in violation of a court order and are wanted for interference of child custody.

Amy Streko is known to operate a 2007 Grey 4 door Ford Focus bearing NJ Registration Y96-FHN. Michael Streko drives a 1997 White/Blue Winnebago bearing NJ Registration X72-FNK.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts or who may have seen one of their cars is asked to contact the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Major Crime Unit at 908-231-7100, Green Brook Police Department at 732-968-1188 or the Somerset County Crime Stoppers’ Tip Line at 1-888-577-TIPS.
