Police are looking for a well-dressed thief who pilfered $5,000 worth of champagne from a newly opened nightclub in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan.
The man, pictured in a surveillance image wearing a white dress shirt and tie, stole 13 bottles of champagne from inside the VIP Room nightclub at 409 W. 13th St., police say.
It's not clear how he managed to get inside the venue just before 8 a.m. on Tuesday. The suspect was wearing a black backpack and carrying a wheeling duffel bag.
The international nightclub has locations in Paris, St. Tropez, Cannes, Monaco and Dubai. It opened its New York City location in September, according to its Facebook page.
