Cellphone Store Employee Punched in Face, Handcuffed in Armed Robbery on Long Island: Cops

A cellphone store employee was punched in the face and handcuffed during an armed robbery Monday on Long Island, police said.

Two men, one of them armed with a silver revolver, walked into the store on Front Street in Uniondale around 7:45 p.m., Nassau County police said.

One of the men punched the store clerk in the face, causing his eye to bruise, and the other man handcuffed him, police said. They took the cash register and several cell phones before fleeing westbound on Front Street.

Police released a surveillance photo of the two suspects (above). Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
