An architect who designed homes for Hollywood celebrities on Long Island's East End is facing child pornography charges.
Jay Lockett Sears was arraigned Friday at a federal court in Central Islip.
Prosecutors say the 73-year-old photographed boys and girls at high-society parties and then manipulated the pictures to superimpose the children's faces on the bodies of adults engaged in sex acts.
Newsday reports that Sears had designed homes for celebrities including Michael J. Fox, Susan Lucci and Clint Eastwood.
The architect's attorney declined to comment.
Prosecutors said in a court filing that the investigation began after someone found the pictures in trash being emptied at the Brookhaven Town Dump.
