27 Cars Found on Fire in New Jersey Town: Officials

Authorities discovered more than two dozen cars on fire in one New Jersey town early Thursday.

Fire officials and prosecutors are investigating the 5:30 a.m. burning of 27 cars in Fairfield, though authorities say there is no evidence at this time to indicate the fire was suspicious.

Officials said it took firefighters an hour to douse the flames due to high winds and the proximity of the cars.

The cost of the damage wasn't immediately estimated.

No injuries were reported.
