NYC Street to Be Co-Named for Slain Aide to Gov. Cuomo

A New York city street is being co-named to honor a slain aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The portion of Clinton Avenue in Brooklyn will also be known as "Carey Gabay Way."

Gabay was a bystander caught in a shootout in September.

The 43-year-old Harvard-educated lawyer served as first deputy general counsel at the Empire State Development Corp.

The City Council's passage of the proposal was announced Friday by Cuomo and Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito.

A ceremony will be scheduled at a later date.
