Car Crashes Into Tree in Brooklyn, 3 Hurt

Three people were injured -- one critically -- when the car they were in crashed into a tree in Brooklyn early Sunday, police said.

The three were in a sedan traveling at a high speed on Ocean Avenue between Avenue P and Avenue O in Midwood when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree at around 3:30 a.m., officials said.

A 21-year-old passenger was in critical condition at Kings County hospital. The 24-year-old driver and a 20-year-old passenger were in stable condition at Lutheran Hospital.

Police said there haven't been any charges associated with the crash.
