More than a dozen children were taken to a hospital with minor injuries after their school bus got into an accident with a commercial box truck in Queens Friday, authorities say.
Police say 25 children were on the bus at the time of the 10 a.m. accident at Rockaway and Brookville boulevards. Seventeen of them were hurt, but authorities say they only suffered minor injuries.
The bus operator wasn't immediately identified. It wasn't clear if the box truck driver was hurt.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
