Canadian Pleads Not Guilty to US Terrorism Charges

A Canadian pleaded not guilty Saturday to U.S. charges accusing him of supporting terrorism linked to deadly attacks on U.S. soldiers in Iraq.

Faruq Khalil Muhammad 'Isa, 36, was brought to New York on Friday and entered the plea in federal court in Brooklyn.

Muhammad 'Isa was arrested in Edmonton, Alberta, on a U.S. warrant in 2011. An indictment accused him of helping coordinate Tunisian jihadists believed responsible for a suicide attack that killed five American soldiers outside a U.S. base in Iraq in 2009.
