Cabbies to March for Slain Colleague

Pena-Seguira was the third cab driver killed in the Bronx since May

Hundreds of colleagues and friends of a slain cab driver are planning a march through the Bronx before the funeral.

The march will pay public tribute to Jose Pena-Seguira and draw attention to the dangers of their occupation, organizers said.

Pena-Seguira's funeral will be held Thursday afternoon.

Pena-Seguira was shot to death in his cab during a botched robbery on Sunday, police said. A man has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and is being held without bail.

Pena-Seguira was the third cab driver killed in the Bronx since May.

Some drivers say the killings have unsettled them.

Before the funeral, mourners plan to line the streets and then march from the car service where he worked to the site of the killing.
