Bus of Seniors Struck by Hit-Run Driver

A bus carrying senior citizens in New Jersey Friday afternoon was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle after a report of shots fired nearby, police said.

Police in Elizabeth say the bus was carrying about 12 seniors, None were injured.

It's not clear if shots were actually fired, or if the crash was related to gunshots. The vehicle that struck the mini-bus was found abandoned about two blocks away, and police were searching for the driver.
