A New Jersey family wants you to keep your eyes open for their puppy. Pepper, their Schnoodle was snatched from their Somerset home. Roseanne Colletti reports.

A New Jersey couple is devastated after thieves ransacked their home and made off with jewelry, electronics and their beloved dog, Pepper.

Barbara August says the burglars broke in on Tuesday afternoon when she and her husband weren't home.

The thieves swiped her Macbook and iPad, and cleaned out her jewelry box.

They also grabbed little Pepper, a black, gray and white schnauzer-poodle mix.

"I'm devastated -- I keep thinking I'm seeing her," August said. "They could have locked her in the bathroom, locked her in her crate, and done whatever they wanted, but why did they have to take my dog -- she's my baby."

Police have traced the stolen electronics to a neighborhood in New Brunswick, and that's where August believes her year-old pup might also have ended up.

The family is asking anyone with information to email them at helpfindpepper@gmail.com.
