2 Arrested by Anti-Burglary Patrol in NJ

There have been dozens of burglaries in North Jersey since April

Police arrested two men and are searching for two others in the wake of a burglary spree in Bergen and Passaic counties.

Police say burglars have been using rental vehicles with out of state license plates while the hit high-end homes.

Wayne police tell The Record newspaper an officer on anti-burglary patrol approached a car with Maryland plates late Wednesday.

Police say the vehicle sped off and rammed the patrol car before stopping in a driveway, where several men ran out of a house.

Officers and police dogs helped track down two suspects Thursday. The others escaped.

There have been 60 burglaries in Wayne and three other north Jersey towns since April 25.
