Power has been restored and buildings reoccupied  in Flushing after a gas rupture and a fire in the area.

Fire officials say the gas leak was underground in the area of 75th Avenue off Main Street.

Con Ed says there was a malfunction with some underground electrical equipment, which burned through a plastic gas main, causing a leak and a fire.

There have been no injuries reported, and the cause of the incident is under review.
