Six people were injured in a collapse at a three-story building under construction in Brownsville early Wednesday afternoon, officials say.

According to the FDNY, part of the third floor of the Prospect Place building collapsed to the first floor.

The men were working on a demolition inside when they were hurt.

"One was bleeding from the head," said Leslie Barker, a passerby.

Neighbors said the building has been vacant for years.

OSHA is investigating and the Buildings Department has shut down the work site.
