Firefighters are battling a fast-moving brush fire that has engulfed several cars and a boat in Queens, authorities say.
The FDNY said the fire extends across a large area in Rosedale.
The National Weather Service had warned earlier in the day that dry conditions and gusty winds would increase the risk of brush fires throughout the city.
