Brush Fire at Brooklyn Golf Course Contained: FDNY

The FDNY says it has contained a brush fire at a Brooklyn golf course near the Belt Parkway.

The fire at a golf course by the Belt Parkway and Flatbush Avenue in Marine Park started at around 3:30 p.m., sending up thick black smoke and reaching three alarms.

The FDNY was able to contain the blaze, though it has hit small pockets in the marshland and the marina. The department said the FDNY was staging at the golf course.

There were some delays on the eastbound side of the Belt Parkway.

No injuries have been reported.
