A 20-year-old man has been accused of stabbing his mother to death at their Brooklyn home Sunday evening, law enforcement sources say.
Officers found Inman Thomas with several stab wounds to her body in the backyard of her home on East 43rd Street in Flatlands at about 6:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.
She was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Sources say her son, Christian Holloman, was taken into custody at the scene; he was arrested Monday.
The NYPD says he faces murder and weapons charges. It's not clear if he has an attorney.
Thomas' grief-stricken family gathered outside the home Sunday night.
"She was a good girl," said Thomas' cousin, Alice Williams. "I'm hurt that she's gone right now."
