advertisement

Police are searching for a livery cab robber who targeted a driver in Brooklyn in the early morning hours Wednesday.

The robber was inside the vehicle in the area of 1275 E. 52nd St. in Flatlands at about 4:10 a.m. when he brandished what looked like a gun and demanded both the driver's personal items and the cab, police said.

The victim complied, and the robber took off in the car. The driver was not hurt, and the cab was later recovered.

The robber is described as about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches with a mustache. He was last seen wearing a brown suede jacket and a gray suede hat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS or at nypdcrimestoppers.com.
