Brooklyn Handyman Found Guilty in 2006 Killing of Landlord

A Brooklyn handyman who prosecutors say bragged about choking to death and dismembering his boss has been found guilty of second-degree murder.

A jury on Monday convicted Luis Perez in the 2006 death of 55-year-old Bruce Blackwood.

The Queens landlord went missing on March 6, 2006, the same day he had confronted Perez about stealing almost $8,000 from him.

Blackwood's remains were never found but prosecutors say Perez boasted about the killing to his daughter in secretly recorded phone calls she gave to police. The recordings were played in court.

He faces 25 to life in prison when he's sentenced on Oct. 13.
