A small fire broke out inside a Brooklyn church Monday, causing mostly smoke damage, officials say.

The fire started on the top floor of Fire Calvary Baptist Church at 951 Putnam Ave. in Bedford Stuyvesant at about 6:15 p.m., the FDNY says. It left behind mostly smoke damage.

One firefighter was treated on the scene for a minor injury.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the fire.
