Driver Who Hit 5 Parked Cars Was Shot in Face: Cops

    Five parked cars were damaged by the out-of-control vehicle.

    A driver who had been shot in the face plowed into five parked cars in Brooklyn early Monday, police said.

    Authorities responding to a 911 call about a car accident near Decatur Street and Irving Avenue in Bushwick around 1 a.m. found a 2004 Toyota that had crashed into five unoccupied cars parked along the street.

    The driver, identified as 37-year-old Carlos Nunez, of Valley Stream, was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where doctors determined he had been shot in the face. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

    The investigation is ongoing.
