A Long Island animal shelter is looking for foster homes for at least 10 dogs for about a month and a half so it can complete renovations at the facility.
The Town of Brookhaven's Animal Shelter and Adoption Center has placed 15 dogs in foster homes over the last few weeks, but needs to find temporary, loving homes for the other 10 before construction begins next week, the group said Tuesday.
The renovations, which will include new, easy-to-clean Blendex flooring, energy-efficient lighting and roof repairs, will take four to six weeks to complete, the organization said.
