Bronx Teacher Accused of Distributing Sex Stories to Students

The teacher has been reassigned pending investigations

School officials today are dealing with angry parents coming to them with questions about an English teacher accused of distributing sexually explicit reading material to his students.

Teacher Greg Van Voorhis has been plucked from the classroom at the Bronx School of Law and Finance and reassigned while the New York City Department of Education investigates allegations that he gave students lewd stories to read detailing alternative masturbation methods using objects like a carrot.

Sources say the inappropriate stories were downloaded from the Internet and Van Voorhis passed them around class.  Most of the stories are too explicit to share, but one part talks about "Sticking stuff inside yourself." Another passage reads "....the rumor is you can have explosive hands-free orgasms. At that age, this friend's a little sex maniac."

According to sources, Van Voorhis allegedly told the students it was a joke, and they shouldn't tell anybody he showed it to them. Van Voorhis then collected the papers back from the students so they couldn't show anyone else, the sources said.

The Department of Education confirms Van Voorhis is under investigation for distributing sexually explicit and inappropriate material to students.  School Principal Evan Schwartz is sending a letter home with students explaining what has happened at the school.  He also said his office doors are open to parents with questions.

Van Voorhis was a favorite with students.  They affectionately call him "Mr. V."  Students are very upset that he has been removed and many believe the article was a joke.  Some have even started a Facebook group to support him.

The Department of Education says if the allegations prove to be true, the teacher's behavior was inappropriate and violates their policy.
