Snake Found in Bronx Rite-Aid Store

It wasn't clear how the snake got inside the store

Police and emergency service officers helped capture a large snake found inside a drug store in the Bronx Tuesday.

Workers at the Rite-Aid store on East Tremont Avenue called 911 when they found the large black and red snake in the back of the store.

By the time emergency services arrived, the snake had slithered out of a back door. That's where officers captured it and took it away.

No one was hurt.

It wasn't clear how the snake got inside the store.
