Girl, 14, Stabbed in Fight Outside Bronx Middle School: Police

A teenage girl was stabbed in the stomach and back during a fight near a middle school in the Bronx Monday afternoon, authorities say.

Emergency responders were called to the area of IS 113 at Barnes Avenue and East 216th Street in the Williamsbridge section at about 3 p.m., according to police.

The victim, a 14-year-old girl, has been stabbed at least twice in the back and torso during a fight with several other girls, police said.

The girl was taken to Jacobi Hospital in serious condition.

It wasn't immediately clear if the girls involved in the stabbing were students at the school. Police are questioning several people.

Last week, a 14-year-old boy was fatally stabbed by a classmate outside another Bronx middle school, IS 117 in Morris Heights. The accused stabber, 14-year-old Noel Estevez, was charged with murder and manslaughter.
