A Bronx school was briefly placed on lockdown Thursday when an intruder ran into the building, officials said.

Students at P.S. 536  on Archer Avenue in the Parkchester section of the Bronx were ordered to remain in their classrooms before the man was detained shortly after 3 p.m.  School safety agents held the man until police arrived.

The man was taken out of the building in handcuffs.  There were no injuries.
