Man Pretends to Be Cop in Bronx Robbery

    A man is being sought in a Bronx robbery in which he preteneded he was a police officer in order to get into the victims' apartment, police said.

    The man knocked on an apartment door inside a building in the area of Orloff Avenue and Cannon Place in Kingsbridge at about 5 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, police said. When the victim opened the door, four other men wearing black ski masks pushed their way in while the first suspect acted as a lookout.

    The suspect tied up the two victims inside the apartment and stole items from the home, then all five suspects fled on foot, police said. 

    No one was hurt. 

    The man impersonating the officer is described as about 30 to 40 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches and 200 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a white jacket.
