A man was struck and killed by a truck while attempting to cross a street in the Bronx Thursday afternoon, police say.
The 69-year-old man, identified as Ignecio Cubano of the Bronx, was on the southeast corner of St. Anns Avenue and E. 138th Street in Mott Haven, where he was attempting to cross the north side of the street, according to police. A tractor truck making a left turn from St. Anns onto E. 138th Street struck the man.
The truck did not have a trailer attached.
Police are investigating, but no criminality is suspected so far.
