Police have released a sketch of a man wanted for a rape inside a Bronx apartment building early Sunday.

Police say the man followed a 21-year-old woman into her apartment building near East 143rd Street and Morris Avenue in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx at about 1:30 a.m., forced her into a stairwell and raped her.

The man is described as being in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a bump on his left cheek. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a Yankee hat.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
