Police Seek Suspect in Fatal Bronx Motel Stabbing

A 24-year-old Massachusetts man was fatally stabbed at Metro Motel in the Bronx

Police are searching for a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a 24-year-old man in a Bronx motel early Tuesday.

It happened at about 3:30 a.m. inside the Metro Hotel at 691 E. 241st St. in the Wakefield section of the Bronx. Police officers responded to a call for a man stabbed, and found Anthony Martino of Dorchester, Mass. stabbed in the torso and in the back, authorities said.

He was taken to Montefiore North Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video, released by police. He is described as about 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches and 160 pounds. He was wearing an Oakland A's baseball hat and a yellow jacket.
