Armed Men Stick Gun in Man's Neck, Rob Him in Bronx: NYPD

Two armed men ambushed a Bronx man as he was about to enter his apartment building early Monday morning, stuck a gun into his neck and robbed him, police say.

The 32-year-old victim told News 4 the men took his chains, watch, cellphone and debit card near Sheridan Avenue and East 169th Street. One of the robbers pulled a mask over his face as he held the gun.

"They just asked me for everything that I had and I gave it up," said the victim, who asked not to be identified because his attackers still have not been arrested. "My life is worth more than that."

The suspects ran eastbound on 169th Street and jumped into a dark SUV, then took off.

The victim says he didn't recognize the robbers.

"I haven't thought of anything else. I'm stuck, you know what I'm saying," he said.

Police have released surveillance video of the robbery in an effort to identify the suspects, though the victim doesn't want to watch it because he already has anxiety over the incident.

"It's my life. They threatened my life," he said.

Police sources say another robbery happened just a couple blocks away minutes earlier, and the suspect descriptions were similar. Police are looking to see if they're connected.
