Baby Found Dead in Bedroom in Bronx: Police

Police are investigating the death of an infant in the Bronx. 

The 24-year-old mother of the baby returned home to her Soundview home Wednesday afternoon to find her 5-month-old baby unresponsive on the bed in the bedroom, police said. The baby had been left in the care of the mother's 46-year-old boyfriend.

The boy was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

Police are investigating.
