Police Seek Suspect in Bronx Gropings

Victims say the man approached them from behind as they were entering their buildings, groped them and ran

Police are looking for a man they believed to have groped at least five women in the Bronx in recent weeks.

The pattern in each instance is similar: Victims say the man approached them from behind as they were entering their buildings, groped them and ran.

The man has attacked at night and during the day, and in at least three separate neighborhoods: University Heights, Morris Heights and Bedford Park.

The victims have all been in their 20s and 30s.

Women who live in the neighborhoods say they are on edge.

"It's terrible," said Faith Dominguez, who lives in Morris Heights. "I think it's horrible."

Police have released the images of the suspect from surveillance tapes shown above, and they are asking anyone with information about the gropings to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
