Authorities say a Bronx church was torched by someone who also smeared Satanic graffiti on its walls.
The Rev. Raymond Alvera says he has no idea who targeted Glory of Christ Church.
The 150-member church also served its neighborhood with a soup kitchen, a clothing outreach and block parties. Only the hard-plastic pulpit survived the blaze that broke out around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
The pastor says the arsonists made a bonfire with church chairs, while writing graffiti cursing Christians and hailing Satan. They also scrawled "Cripes Kill'' -- apparently referring to the name of the street gang.
