Six Evacuated After Bricks Fall From Three-Story Building in Greenwich Village: FDNY

Six people have been removed from a Greenwich Village building after bricks rained from the second floor, FDNY officials said.

The department received a call shortly before 11 a.m. stating that bricks and debris were falling from the second floor of a three-story mixed-use building at 181 Bleecker St., fire officials said.

Six of the building's occupants have been removed as a safety precaution. A collapse zone has been set up in the area. 

Firefighters and other FDNY officials are at the scene investigating the incident.
