Long Island Toddler Attacked by Dog: Police

The 3-year-old boy was in the backyard of the Wilson Street home in Brentwood when he was attacked just after 11 a.m.

 A Long Island toddler is in serious condition after he was attacked by his babysitter's dog Tuesday morning, officials say. 

The 3-year-old boy was in the backyard of the Wilson Street home in Brentwood when he was attacked just after 11 a.m. 

He suffered injuries to his face and was rushed by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital. 

Animal control removed the dog from the home after the incident.

Police are continuing to investigate.
