N.J. Dad Anxiously Awaits Brazilian Court Decision

A New Jersey father hopes the Brazilian Supreme Court reunites him with his son after another court reversed course and said he could not take his boy home.
David Goldman has been fighting for years to get custody of his 9-year-old son Sean.
Goldman told the TODAY Show Thursday that he was able to see the boy Wednesday. Goldman said his son is “not in a good emotional state.”
Sean has lived with his Brazilian stepfather since 2004.
A federal court in Brazil said early this week that Goldman should have custody. But Brazil's supreme court is reviewing that decision and expects to issue a ruling on June 10.
U.S. Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) planned to introduce a bill Thursday that would suspend trading preferences with Brazil until the country honors a treaty regarding international child abductions.
