Police Question Parents in Death of 5-Year-Old Queens Boy

Police are questioning the parents of a 5-year-old boy who died after being found unconscious in his Queens home. 

The parents of Michael Guzman were taken into custody at Jamaica Hospital and brought to the 103rd precinct, where they were being questioned about their son's death Sunday evening. 

Police said there have been a number of child abuse complaints at the 109th Avenue home where Guzman was found in a bedroom on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency responders tried to revive the boy after someone called 911, but he died at Jamaica Hospital. 

A medical examiner will determine his cause of death and an investigation is ongoing. 

A spokesperson for the Administration for Children's Services said the agency was "saddened by this troubling news and are investigating the circumstances leading to this child fatality, along with the NYPD."
