Boy, 4, Dies After Falling Off Bronx Bank Counter

A 4-year-old boy has died after falling from a counter that collapsed and fell on his head at a Bronx bank.      

Police say Emmanuel Corniel Delgado was climbing on the counter while his father was taking money out at an Apple Bank ATM around 7:45 p.m. Monday.    

The Daily News reports that the countertop collapsed, dropping on the boy's head as he fell to the floor.      

The child was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.      

Police were investigating the incident as an accident.
